Monday at Camp
07/07/08 22:02
After a great breakfast we all celebrated in the
Chapel with songs, worship and Bible Study time. Mrs.
Beth talked about what it means to be a hero and how
we can impact our world for Jesus. Our whole week is
based on Matthew 5:16 - "Live in such a way that
those around you will see the good things you do and
glorify God." We had quiet time in our cabins and
then went to crafts where we are done the most
amazing craft activities. Each color squad got to
design their own flag and also create their own super
hero to display in the chapel. We're learning about
the character of a hero, which is an awesome study.
We also made wall plaques that we will get to paint
on Wednesday. Our views of Wolf Bay really bring out
our creative side.
During track time and free time we had a blast on the huge water slide into the lake, paddle boats, canoes, swimming, miniature golf, kickball, and the ropes course.
Our teams also competed in a game of water balloon sling shot where we tried to hit Mrs. Beth and the church bus for points!
Everyone is really having fun with the competitions between the red, purple, green and the orange squads! We can't wait to see how things go tomorrow.
God is awesome!
We hope all of our kid's will be equipped to make an impact on the world when we get back.
